PROJECT SOS (Street Outreach for Survival) is operated in Bell, Coryell and McLennan Counties by Central Texas Youth Services.
Street outreach is conducted in the three-county service-delivery area to runaway, homeless and street youth through the age of 21 years. Services include information and referral, case management, food, water, clothing, hygiene kits, transportation, shelter, and emergency crisis services. Emergency shelter services for youth under the age of 18 years is provided through our emergency shelter, Option House.
An important "doorway" to services are the over 350 Safe Place sites open throughout Bell, McLennan and Coryell Counties. This bright yellow sign is recognized by children and youth and they know this sign means they can get help...fast! These signs can be seen outside of convenience stores, shopping centers and malls, fire stations, libraries, city buildings, and other youth organizations.
